Currículo Resumido

Vera Sequeira is a Science Communicator working in institutional communication at the Communication Office of MARE, the Marine and Environmental Sciences Centre, and ARNET, the Aquatic Research Network. She holds a degree in Marine Biology from Ciências ULisboa, a PhD in Sea Sciences from the same institution, and an MSc in Science Communication from NOVA FCSH. Between June 2019 and February 2025, she served as an Assistant Researcher at MARE in Ciências ULisboa. From 2011 to 2019, she was a Post-doctoral Researcher at the Fisheries Lab, where she worked on fish reproductive strategies and the structure of fish stocks. From 1998 to 2006, she worked at Lisbon Zoo, where she was Product Manager responsible for educational programmes and training, later becoming Head of the Educational Department.
